Happy Birthday to me, Happy birthday to me Happy birthday dear meeeeeeeeeee.... Ok you get the point. Wow 24! I officially feel old! Especially since Spence is going to be 23 for another 6 months. 24 is like the age where people are suppose to have their life plan figured out right? Or is that just my own interpretation of the age? Spencer and I are actually going to celebrate later this week, so me and the girls are going to dinner! Arrrribba! (and no we aren't doing Mexican... I just get so excited when I see them). BUT Spence and two of his good friends (and fellow Halo players) sent me flowers at work today. Ignore the card. It's Halo mixed with innuendos. And my boss gave me Dr. Pepper and a bag of salt and vinegar chips! Best boss in the world award goes to Jen!
Well I meant to write sooner, but I've had a packed weekend. First off... for those of you who don't follow me on Twitter, Instagram, or Facbook... I got extensions! This has been a life long dream since that time I was in 5th grade and got a boy hair cut {picture not found} and I cried for days. I've always wanted long luscious locks {think Miley Cyrus circa 2012}. I would recommend them for anyone going through a hair crysis. I got the bead in extensions by the brand Babe in 22''. Go big or go home right!? If you have any questions about them feel free to ask. I have been researching them for months and I feel like quite the expert. For my next post I want to tell you about my very hilarious experience with the hair dresser that did them. Seriously I could have written a book about it. It was like being in the twilight zone! She was cray-cray!
Saturday night we went to dinner with 5 other couples, which was a breath of fresh air since none of Spencer's friends are married and it's not often we do things with other couples. I was dressed and ready to go when Spencer begged me to change into the plaid Volcom shirt he bought me. Although at the time I didn't think it was nice enough for the restaurant we were going to, I decided to make my man happy. Good thing he has good taste.
Plaid Shirt: Volcom, White Tee: H&M, Leather Leggings: Windsor, Booties: Madden Girls Necklace: Forever21, Watch: Nixon Spur
The other exciting thing that happened this week is that my surrogate finally had my babe! Ok ok just kidding but my sister had a little girl yesterday named Sophie Rosamond (after my grandma) and she is as cute as a button! Prepare yourself for a brief picture overload!
And I officially finished my first sewing project! It was hell and I sewed a lot of pieces together that shouldn't have been. In fact I think I unpicked more stitches then I sewed if that's even possible. And yes the crotch is low and the inside of the thigh needs to be taken in, BUT they are done and I am proud of myself and can't wait to start my skirts!
Here below is my red-hot material I picked out for my pencil skirt.
Hope everyone enjoyed the Superbowl even if the 49ers lost. Both BYU and the U of U were well represented though so Go Utah! Spence and I had friends over for the game and delicious/easy food! One of the first recipes I ever pinned on Pinterest was THIS Cheaddar Bacon Ranch Pull Apart Bread and I've never found a good excuse to make it... until now. And let me tell you it was well worth it. I mean how can you go wrong with all those indigence??
I also made delicious little pigs in a blanket with mustard sauce (which I liked even though I don't like mustard). Recipe HERE.
Welp, I'm off to convince people (mostly random attractive guys) to give me birthday spankings! Peaceeeeeeee!
Yay happy birthday!! I hate your {no-longer} roommates because they always get to play with you. Yes I am jealous.
ReplyDeleteI wished you lived closed so I wouldn't hate Summer and how much time she hogs with you! {Summer if you are reading this I don't really hate you}. Come to Provo sometime! I hear it's nice in February.
